Qigong is energy cultivation and literally means training of the Qi. Qi is considered an active principle or force in all living things. It is the life force that flows through the body. There are many forms of Qigong exercises that promote well being using muscle movement, visualization and breath. Qigong can be done sitting, standing and even lying down. It can be a choreographed series of movements or a more spontaneous free form. With concerted effort and practice you can feel the Qi as warmth and tingling. Qigong can be an excellent method to promote flexibility and relaxation. I can provide individual recommendations of Qigong exercises and am available for private group workshops.
